About Us-Argyle Chapter of the Post Star Academic Team

November 5, 2008 vs TBA
@ 7PM.

 About Us:

We are a group of students who

academically compete with area schools. The Argyle Central School Chapter of the Post Star Academic team plays
every other week on Wednesdays at Queensbury High School. We attend practices 9th periods to help us prepare for future games.
Our hopes are high that we make it to the finals and we strive to reach that goal. But our main purpose is not winning. It's about
having fun. Our gaming routine is leaving the school complex via transportation provided by the school.
The game consists of two games of four rounds each. We play one game and watch
the other.  When we return we discuss our strong and weak points. And like our slogan says, Have Fun. Make Friends. Compete. speaks for
itself. While you play you make new friends, meet more people and you compete.

Excerpt From Argyle CSD Summary
"The Post Star Academic Team competes in a contest sponsored by the Post Star. There are 24 schools that compete. It is an academic quiz game based on questions for students in grades 9-12. The categories include history, literature, science, math, the arts and current events. We play 5 games from September thru December. Then, the top eight winners go on to playoffs in January and February. The two top winning teams go on to compete in a national competition in Washington D.C. in June. We practice on Wednesdays after school and all games are Wednesday evening at Queensbury High School."
